Come down to Roosevelt School in Bridgeport to watch some of the best soccer talents compete and show off their skills at one of the most unique leagues in the state.
All games will follow the official FIFA Laws of the Game with a few modifications:
Each team is allotted an unlimited number of players per team; however, to play in the playoff, you have to have played at least 1 regular-season game.
Until the ball is in play, all opponents must remain at least 8 yards (7.3152 meters) from the ball, unless they are on their own goal line between the goalposts
If a player or coach is issued a red card, they must serve their suspension and the TEAM is fined $50. The player/coach may only return to the pitch once the suspension is served and the fine is paid.
Any player or coach guilty of fighting will be expelled from the league immediately. The Team will be placed on probation and fined $50. In the event of a second offense, the entire team will be expelled from the league.
Any player found guilty of using and directing abusive language toward a referee, opponent, teammate and/or spectator will be given a straight red card and fined $50.
If the teams are tied at the end of regulation, the winner will be decided by a penalty shoot-out (no overtime).
Any team that fails to show up, or field the minimum number (7) of players will forfeit the match. The opposing team will be awarded a 3-0 win and collect 3 points.
